Examples of work by members of the Marquetry Section

Marquetry is the art of producing pictures or designs from wood veneer. Marquetry is a low cost and absorbing hobby which can often surprise the new comer by revealing hidden talents and skills.

The Redbridge Marquetry Group meets at the Redbridge Social Centre on a weekly basis. Classes welcomes newcomers of all ages and are suitable for all levels of ability from beginners to advanced. Previous experience is not necessary and coaching is given without charge by experienced members of the group. All minimal equipment and veneers may be purchased at the classes. The Group holds annual group and inter group competitions.
